Food Related Courses on Swayam MOOC Platform

SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is a MOOC platform.

It is an Indian government-initiated Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) platform, launched by the Ministry of Education (formerly Ministry of Human Resource Development) to provide free, high-quality online courses from school level (Class 9) to post-graduation, including engineering, humanities, management, and skill-based programs.

Many courses allow credit transfer to formal degrees as per UGC/AICTE regulations (up to 40% of a program in some cases).

It is one of the world's largest MOOC platforms, with thousands of courses, over 4 crore enrollments, and coordination by institutions like NPTEL, NCERT, UGC, AICTE, IIMB, INI (Institutes of National Importance), IGNOU and others.

SWAYAM offers two main semesters per year (January and July), and the platform keeps many courses open year-round or self-paced.

Enrollment is free, and courses typically run for 8–12 weeks, starting soon after the semester begins. If you're interested in certification, note that proctored exams are optional and have separate registration/fee later.
